Betrayal Sociology and Perfidious Psychology: Why Do We Even Pay you?
How Sociology and Psychology betrayed Western Civilization
Sociologists and psychologists have, in the past, tried to hack into peoples minds to better understand what makes them tick. This is what sociologists and psychologists do. What they learn from the studies they do can then be used in other sciences. What could a sociology study reveal about us? It depends on the experiment. What we do know is that once they are done with their experiments they pass on the data to advertising agencies and alphabet corporations who then abuse us.
During the prisoner and guard experiments which I will not reference; men and women were put in a prison environment and role-played as prisoner and guard. The sociologists drew the conclusion that people naturally fall into these roles and submit when they are the prisoner. They also drew the conclusion that when in the guard role; people would act abusive.
What I would like to bring to light is that people acted as they were expected to act under the circumstances. The mold included prisoner and prison guard. You wouldn't expect the guard to sit down on the bunk and play cards with the prisoners in an experiment unless the participant is particularly enlightened or particularly nonplussed with the experiment.
Put another way: The prisoner and prison guard experiment is flawed in that it is more a reflection of the society at the time of the experiment. The way subjects will act in a sociology experiment is not an accurate reflection of the behavior of the human race in general. This is evident because the results of sociology experiments are divined through behavior. I argue that ones individual behavior in a sociology experiment is a reflection on your thoughts about society either subconsciously or consciously regardless of the subjects own intention.
Sociology and psychology are not without their merits and value. But the value of having a mirror is highly dependent upon where you are in your house. Your time is up. I'll see you tomorrow.
